Prime Minister Urges SSF to Embrace Technology for Future Challenges

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, commending the long and successful journey of the Special Security Force (SSF), stated that various multifaceted challenges have emerged in the security system due to current socio-economic realities, geopolitical situations, and the rapid advancement of information technology. He emphasized that in these changing circumstances, the SSF must always be prepared through modern and up-to-date training. As a specialized force, there is no scope for them to lag behind in courage, efficiency, and the use of modern technology.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at an event organized on Thursday (June 18) at the Shapla Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office, marking the SSF’s 40th founding anniversary.

Furthermore, he thanked the force for the coordination and efficiency demonstrated by the SSF in organizing the large Janaza (funeral prayer) held after Begum Zia’s demise.

Regarding state governance and public engagement, the Prime Minister stated that as the head of government, the trust and love of the people are his greatest strength. He cautioned the SSF to ensure that security measures do not isolate the head of government from the public.

During the event, the Prime Minister inaugurated the newly constructed modern firing range and observed its demonstration. He stated that this firing range would play a significant role in enhancing professional skills. He also mentioned the reform and modernization of the SSF’s ‘Red Book’ after 2002, noting that it not only serves as a procedural guideline but also ensures the legal protection of its members.
