US Seeks Solution with Iran Amid Escalating Tensions, Technical Talks Continue

A senior US administration official has stated that despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East, the United States remains committed to finding a diplomatic solution to its disputes with Iran.

On Thursday (July 10), the official stated that Washington has kept the path for dialogue open, and technical-level discussions between both sides are ongoing. These discussions are focusing on various technical aspects of a potential understanding.

This comment by the US official comes at a time when renewed military tensions have flared between the US and Iran in recent weeks. Following attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, the US conducted strikes on various Iranian military installations. In response, Iran also claimed to have launched drone and missile attacks targeting US military installations in the Gulf region.

However, even amidst the ongoing tensions, Washington’s position is to continue efforts to reach a long-term solution through dialogue instead of further escalating the conflict. Meanwhile, Iran has also increased communication with various regional countries. Tehran is discussing the security situation with several countries, including Saudi Arabia, to prevent the current crisis from escalating further. According to analysts, even if military tensions persist, the open door for dialogue between both sides could create the possibility of a new understanding in the future.
