Iran Bloodied by US Attacks: 35 Killed, Over 300 Injured, Vows Retaliation

The United States has continued its airstrikes in various locations across Iran. According to various sources, attacks were carried out again last night, targeting the country’s southern coast and several strategically important facilities.

Reports indicate explosions occurred on Qeshm Island, the largest island near the Strait of Hormuz, and in the important port city of Bandar Abbas. Explosions were also reported in Sirik, another crucial port city overseeing the Strait of Hormuz.

Explosions were also reported in the cities of Chabahar, Konarak, and Rask in the southeastern Sistan province.

Meanwhile, several explosions were reported in the southwestern city of Ahvaz. One attack reportedly damaged a hospital, which was subsequently evacuated. Local sources indicate that the hospital’s pediatric cancer treatment department was also affected.

According to the latest information from Iran’s Ministry of Health, at least 35 people have been killed and over 300 injured since the recent wave of attacks began.

On the other hand, Iran has claimed to have launched retaliatory attacks targeting various US military installations located in the Middle East.

Two US Airstrikes Near Khondab

Iran’s state news agency, Fars News, reported that the United States conducted two separate airstrikes on a facility outside Khondab city in the central Markazi province. This information was released citing the province’s deputy governor.

IRGC Claims Downing of MQ-9 Drone

Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims to have shot down a US MQ-9 drone in the skies over the southwestern city of Andimeshk.

Citing Tasnim news agency, the IRGC stated that the drone was destroyed using a new air defense system operated by its aerospace force.

However, these claims of attacks, casualty figures, and the downing of the drone could not be independently verified immediately.
